I have always had a passion for music and started playing the drums when I was 3 years old. I received my first drum kit for my 5th birthday. By the time I was 8, I was playing the drums at my grandma’s church and at various concerts with my school. This is something I really enjoyed and wanted to continue throughout high school however with the pressures of exams on my shoulders, I decided to take a break from music but later picked it back up again along with 5 other instruments at the age of 15. My professional music career began at the Roland Music Academy when I was 17. It was here that I received core training to prepare me for life in the music industry.

In 2015 I took part in an international female drumming contest called Hit Like A Girl, where I went head to head with some of the world’s most talented female drummers. Although I wasn’t the overall winner of the contest, I was one of the weekly winners and placed in the top 40 as one of the finalists. This was a great achievement for me so early in my career.

Growing up in a Christian home, I have been brought up around gospel music and play this style quite naturally, however, I also like to play funk, R ‘n’ B, Soul, Hip Hop, Pop, and others. My favourite artists currently are, Israel Houghton, The Walls Group, Tye Tribbett, Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Meghan Trainor to name a few.

I am inspired by the life and legacy of Chris Coleman, Aaron Spears, Gerald Hayward and Venzella Joy.
